محلول OG6 کمپانی Bio Optica ایتالیا
رنگ آمیزی پاپانیکولائو، یک روش رنگ آمیزی چند مرحله ای است که توسط دکتر جرج پاپانیکلائو، پدر علم سیتولوژی، ارتقا یافته است. محلول  OG-6 یکی دیگر از محلول های پاپانیکولائو است که برای رنگ آمیزی لام های سیتولوژی و پاتولوژی مورد استفاده قرار می گیرد. این رنگ آمیزی جهت تشخیص انواع سرطان ها مانند سرطان رحم، سرطان دهانه رحم و ... استفاده می شود. همچنین از این محلول ها جهت رنگ آمیزی انواع ترشحات و سلولهای بدن نیز استفاده می گردد.

Papanicolaou's solution Orange G solution (OG-6)
The cytological staining technique developed by Papanicolaou is still the standard method in cancer and hormone cycle diagnosis. The effect of the orange staining solution is considerable in smears with keratinized cells under acidic pH conditions, when the obvious orangeophilic cytoplasmic stain is recognizable and may point to the presence of hyperkeratosis, HPV infection or carcinoma cells.

Application
Papanicolaou stain imparts a characteristic range of coloration to exfoliative cells of vaginal, cervical, prostatic and other body secretions, allowing critical examination of nuclei and cytoplasmic components.

For routine diagnostic cytology to aid in the identification and classification of exfoliative cells.
